"We were treated excellent and will never forget the hospitality you showed us. We all commented that we felt special at Barefoot and like a part of the family you have there. Don't change anything at the Cay as it is so intimate now and that is what makes you stand apart from the rest of the resorts… you have the best resort on the island and your staff stands out so much I can't put it in words. We loved our time and the people we met there and will definitely return in the future to enjoy the Cay again."

Level of care and heart
"We had an incredible time on Barefoot Cay. Beauty of the environs (palapa, bungalow, pool, ocean etc), quality of service and interactions, and oh...Juana's cooking... a level of care and heart --for your guests and staff--with which even renowned 5-star places like Cuisinart and Cap Juluca in Anguilla cannot possibly hope to compete."

"Had we known how delicious the food would be (and so beautifully presented!) we would have eaten it more often and cooked less, but it was great to have such a well-equipped kitchen. The pool was great, and the freedom you allowed our two boys was great. The staff were all very helpful, and the daily fresh flowers on the beds and in the bathrooms were very nice! You have so many really nice touches it's hard to enumerate them all."

"My friends & I live across the Bay from you in Belize and recently visited Roatan by sailboat and stayed in Barefoot Cay’s lovely marina. As my friends and I are Divemasters and Instructors here in Belize, of course we did some diving through Barefoot Cay’s dive shop, which we all considered to be a top notch facility. Really well run and organized. The Dive Shop staff were all fantastic folks. Great job to everyone! We’ll be back and hope that Barefoot Cay maintains its flavor and spirit."

"You really have created a wonderful resort and we are thrilled to have experienced Roatan through your establishment. …a part of us just wants us to not tell only a very few and just keep it as our secret Caribbean getaway so it won’t get overrun and spoiled. The staff all the way up the line to the very top certainly looked after us throughout our stay. We were in good hands and fully hope to return at the earliest possible opportunity."

Perfect

"From the first moment we arrived everyone was so kind and friendly. For me being able to get a meal or snack when I felt like it was great. We had all our meals at the resort, apart from one lunch in West End which didn’t come close to Barefoot Cay. I am very fair skinned so we do not usually take beach vacations, but we wanted to take it easy on this trip so the fact that you had so much shade was perfect for me. Being able to float around in the partially covered pool with a cocktail really added to my experience!"

We enjoyed seeing other parts of Roatan (for which we greatly appreciated you having cars readily available to rent, thus not having to deal with rental agencies), but it was always a pleasure to come back the The Cay, and be out of the frenzy of some of the other more touristy places."

"Concierge diving"

"Just a quick note to thank you again for showing us the diversity of dives from one end of the island to the other. We've never experienced such great service, it's more than valet diving, its "Concierge" diving, because you interact with the customers, listen to their wishes, then fulfill them. Just terrific!"

"The dive shop facilities are also amazing -- having a designated space to hang wetsuits and store gear -- not to mention having all the heavy lifting and gear wrangling done by someone else!! -- is a real luxury, and we thoroughly appreciated the thought that went into that set-up."

"Our stay with you guys was simply wonderful. From the detail to rooms to the special attention given to us, we felt very pampered and special to be there. Oh and the food!!!! You have a great operation going in a very beautiful spot on the island. My humble opinion is not to grow too much so you can keep that cozy and homey atmosphere. Little piece of heaven

"Before I continue, let me congratulate you for your little piece of heaven! It is a great cay, our bungalow was awesome as well as the service, we couldn't be happier in any other place; that kitchen and all the banana pancakes my husband prepared to me are the most precious moments I could ask for on a honeymoon. But it MUST be said, the key player to help me book my dream honeymoon was Mel, what a wonderful woman she is! Since I got there I wanted to talk to her and finally meet her and put a face to those nearly hundreds of e-mails we sent back and forth; don't let her go! She's a keeper for your business as well as Fernand and Santos, he was kind enough to take us very early in the morning on Saturday so we can catch our flight on time, KUDOS to them!"

Amazing time

"We had an amazing time spent on the Island of Roatan and at Barefoot Cay! Your staff extends service and individual attention that make each guest feel pampered and important to that staff member dealing with you at that moment. That is most remarkable in this day and age. Your fine attention to detail in the villas was a delight. We have traveled A LOT, and your bungalows are the prettiest I've ever seen!!! And the people were extremely impressive with ALL THEIR HELP and generosity!!! I'm very impressed."

Above and beyond

You have a fabulous staff! Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay at the Cay the very best possible. We have been fortunate to have traveled many wonderful and beautiful places, and Roatan and Barefoot Cay have topped the list. I am a big fan of boutique hotels and all of the little "niceties" they offer...great sheets, soft towels, all the little extras. I could not have asked for more from you all!"
